CHI KUNG (QI GONG)

Chi Kung is the exercise for the development of essential energy called Chi, by the regulation of the body posture, mental concentration, breathing, self-massage and movement of the limbs.

Chi-Kung is an instrument for resisting disease, adapting to the external environment, the ability to overcome internal troubles and regaining health. The practice of Chi-Kung encourages mental calmness, enhances physical fitness and prolongs life, apart from conserving health and averting diseases; it also helps to enlighten thinking and improves acumen.

Chi-Kung can be practiced by both young and old who will gain health benefits from this.

There are many forms of Chi-Kung exercises, but they regulate three important elements:

1.       BODY – A number of principles in Chi-Kung exercises are determined for the positioning of various body parts, such as keeping the head and spine upright with the chin tucked in, shoulders lowered, elbows dropped and the joints flexed. By keeping to these principles the internal organs are placed in the correct positions to improve their proper functions and this relieve tension and avoid the loss of essential energy.

2.       BREATHING – Normally we respire in a natural way with the mouth and nose. In Chi-Kung exercises breathing is done in an intentional manner according to various patterns. In Chi-Kung exercises, the breathing method is deep, rhythmic and even in both inhaling and exhaling.

3.       MIND – Chi-Kung exercises alleviate the mind of tension and pressure that is brought on by the commotion of daily life and enable us to accomplish a better mental balance.

CHI IS THE VITAL ENERGY NEEDED FOR AN ENERGETIC AND HEALTHY LIFE, WHILE CHI-KUNG IS THE EXERCISE TO TAP INTO THIS VITAL ENERGY!
